Summer Fashion Essentials!

Hello Girlies,

I hope you are all doing well and enjoying the Summer days, that are not anyway Summery here unfortunately! Anyway, today I'll be showing you what I believe to be the fashion essentials for this season.

∙Coloured Jeans∙

They are everywhere at the moment and are widely available for every budget, in a variety of shades. I have a full post on how I wear coloured denim here with a range of colours and styles!

My favourites are Topshop jeans because they're affordable yet great quality and fit. Check them out here.

Playsuits/Rompers

This is a personal favourite of mine and is a fun, casual take on the jumpsuit. It's definitely a more youthful version. They are super easy to style as all you need to do is throw it on, no need to worry about matching tops and bottoms! They are versatile as well as they come in a wide range of style, from fancier styles to beach wear, there is something for every occasion!

I love the rompers from River Island as they have lots to choose from and they are also very affordable.
This one is super cute and on sale for ₤15! Check it out here.

High-Low Hemlines∙

This is a style that has become very popular recently. If you aren't a huge fan of miniskirts and want something slightly more conservative, without looking too "old" or boring, then these are perfect. Basically, they are skirts or dresses where the hemline is shorter at the front and longer at the back.

I love this one from River Island. The colour is gorgeous and the tasseled belt makes it a little more unique. It will set you back ₤40.

Denim Shorts∙

This is an annual, reoccurring trend for Summer. I mean, who doesn't love a cute pair of denim shorts?! They go with everything and there are so many to choose from!

I love the denim shorts available from ASOS, they have a huge range to suit everyone! This pair is from the brand Reverse, available from ASOS for €57.02. I love the crotchet detail on the front- so cute!

Swim-wear∙

Summer screams beaches and pools! Whether your sun-bathing or swimming, you want to have a cute swimsuit. Whether your into full-suits, tankinis or bikinis, bright colours and prints are the way to go. Especially if you're less than stellar confident in your itsy bitsy swimsuit, the bright colours and prints distract from your body and focus on your cute suit!

There are so many swimsuits available everywhere. I really love Primark/Penneys suits as they are super cute and extremely affordable, averaging around €10 for a full suit. Forever 21 also stock a great range too.

This fun, banana print bikini is available from Forever 21 for €10.75 for the top and €9.75 for the bottoms. There are also cheaper plain suits available from the site too!

They are my Summer fashion essentials. 'Hope you enjoyed and make sure to let me know what your Summer fashion essentials are in the comments below.

Easy Ways to Wear Bright Makeup!

Hello Lovelies,

One of the biggest trends this Summer, regarding makeup, is bright colours. Really it's not just in makeup but fashion too. Bright makeup can seem a little daunting at first, but hopefully this post will give you some easy tips on how to incorporate bright makeup into your everyday makeup.

• Eyes •

I'm not talking eye shadow here, but rather eyeliner. A bright colourful eyeliner along the waterline is a very easy way to add a pop of colour to your look, while still remaining cute and never over the top!
The best part is, you don't have to fork out a small fortune as there are plenty of fabulous coloured liners available from the high street/drugstore.

Try this eyeliner from Barry M in "Kingfisher". It's a bargain at only £2.99 from Boots!

• Lips •

From pastel pinks to bright tangerines, bright lip products are easy to wear and are widely available. A personal favourite, and very raved about product, are the revlon lip butters. These provide a decent amount of coverage whilst still moisturising the lips. Lipsticks, of course, are the other way to go. They are more pigmented and longer lasting than the lip butters but are less comfortable to wear.

Try "Girl About Town" from MAC (top) . It's a lovely bright fuschia at £13.50/€17.50 available here
A similar shade in lip butter form is "lollipop"(bottom). Available here for ₤7.50/€11.99

 Cheeks •

A bright blush can really make give that extra oomph to a look! It's a great alternative to adding a pop of colour to your makeup as it isn't hugely dramatic. A pretty coral is the way to go here as it will really compliment a tan for the Summer months.

Try Topshop's cream blush "Neon Rose". A gorgeous coral for ₤6, available from Topshop.

So they are my top tips for incorporating bright, colourful makeup into your everyday routine. I hope they helped and if you have any further tips, make sure to let me know in the comments!

Thanks for reading dolls!
Will you be trying any of these tips?

Celebrity Fragrances: Justin Bieber, Beyonce and More!

Hey Dolls,

I've been thinking about various blog posts to do and thought of this little idea- Celebrity fragrances. I feel there is this misperception that celeb perfumes just aren't as good as your typical high-end perfume. I myself, am a big perfume lover and out of my stash I have three celebrity perfumes, all of which I regularly reach for.

Firstly, is the Beyonce "Heat" perfume. This perfume has been released for quite some time now and there have been various other perfumes added to Beyonce's perfume line since.
I received this mini sized perfume in a set from my lovely sister. It also came with a body wash and lotion which smell just as lovely as the perfume itself.

"A captivating fragrance that unleashes a spirited fire within. It is a unique expression of a woman's powerful sensuality: sexy, elegant yet feminine with an air of mystery, this fragrance reflects a self-assured woman, who is not afraid to desire and to be desired."

Well I'm not sure about that but I would definitely say it is a night-time scent and more sensual! It contains floral, fruity and woody notes. Think vanilla, peach, honeysuckle, musk and milkwood.
I love it. If you're looking for a sexier night scent, this is for you!
Available here from £23.50

Next, I have an all-time favourite of mine, Someday by Justin Bieber. This is the first scent released by the Biebs and he is set to release a second perfume this year entitled Girlfriend. I am a big Justin fan so of course I am obsessed with this perfume. Even if I wasn't a fan, this scent appeals to masses and looking beyond the pretty face, Someday really is a delicious smelling perfume.

"Experience the energy of Justin Bieber's new fragrance, SOMEDAY. Playful, thought- provoking, fresh yet flirty, and anything but ordinary, the bottle comes with a removable crystal heart charm from Justin. What better way to carry his heart on your sleeve?"

It's top notes are mandarin, juicy pear and wild berry. The heart notes are jasmine and creamy florals and the finish is vanilla musk

This is definitely more of a youthful scent and is perfect for this time of year, for everyday wear.
Even if you're not a Belieber, I'd recommend taking a sniff of this the next time you see it!

Available here from £23.00

My final celebrity fragrance is Midnight Fantasy by Britney Spears.
This is one of many perfumes released by Britney and is like a sequel to the original Fantasy perfume.

"Britney Spears Midnight Fantasy is an intoxicating elixir of luscious fruits that invites you into a mysterious realm of temptation and intruige. The fragrance is a sophisticated twist on the original Britney Spears Fantasy fragrance."

Again, this is quite a juvenile scent as it is extremely sweet. Do not be put off by this though! As the scent fades once sprayed on, it leaves a milder sweet scent that is quite noticeable but surprisingly not over powering. It contains notes of black cherries, exotic plum, night blooming orchids, musk and vanilla

If you are a fan of sugary, sweet scents definitely give this a go, if not- stay away!

Available here for the sale price of £13.20

Overall, I think celebrity fragrances are fab! Often they are a lot cheaper than designer fragrances but are similar quality. What are your thoughts on celebrity perfumes? Let me know in the comments!

7 Things for 7 Days!

Hey Girlies,

This post is a step away from beauty and fashion, more of a lifestyle post!
I am a huge fan of Louise, over on SprinkleofGlitter. She is the most wonderful, bubbly person and I really recommend you head over and check out her blog and Youtube channel. She will really brighten your day! Anyway, before I get carried away, I really should inform you about the purpose of this post.

Basically, Louise has set about this new idea of "7 things for 7 Days". This is where you make seven goals for yourself, no matter how big or small, to achieve during the week. They need not even be just for a week, but the "7 days" is a little bit catchier don't you agree?! Louise has kindly invited all of her fellow bloggers to join in and set their own goals too. For the full information and if you fancy getting involved-check out the post here.

So here are my goals that I hope to achieve. I will set my date for Saturday June 30th as it will mark the end of a week as well as the month of June.

1. Read
As I have repeatedly mentioned (sorry about that!), I have recently been sitting exams. With all that I've had little time for reading and other down time. When I say reading, I mean reading outside of school books! Really I have just been neglecting reading for quite a while and the internet is a big factor that contributes to that. So I have made a little list of books I am planning to read! If you have any good, fictional books do let me know. I'm more of a fashion and also romance kinda gal but I'm up for anything!

2. Relax
As previously mentioned, I have had little time for just plain old "me" time. I am making it a goal to sit down and have a lovely Lush bath-simple as that!

3. Be healthy!
Yes, it is an annoying concept as being healthy is a constant topic of conversation everywhere- but it really is important! Especially with Summer being here, it's important to feel our best which contributes to looking our best. I'm not saying I'm going to go on any sort of diet, but cutting out junk food a little  and drinking lots of water is a small step in the right direction!

4. Exercise
This relates to number 3. Again, nothing drastic here but a few abdominal crunches and leg lunges here and there won't do any harm. I'm off on holiday in a few weeks so I want to feel confident as Summer clothing isn't always the most forgiving!

5. Organise
I really need to get on track tidying and organising! It isn't the most fun thing in the world but it needs to be done!

6. Blog
This little baby right here! I have not been the best blogger this past month but that is soon to change. I have lots of ideas for posts and make sure to always let me know if you have any requests as I would be only delighted to hear them!

7. Do Something Nice
Yes, it is simple and something that probably shouldn't have to be put on a list, but it's something we forget a lot. I really do believe that the key to happiness is making others happy. I'm not suggesting you have to volunteer at a shelter- though that would be great- but something from home is just as effective. I might just do something to help my parents out, or bring my little sister for a day out. All these little things make a difference and can hopefully make someone happier!

So they are my 7 things to do over the next 7 days (more or less!). Feel free to join in on the fun too!

Check back in the next week or so and I will do an update on each "goal" to see how I've done!

Thanks for reading dolls! Hope you enjoyed.
Let me know what your goals are in the comments!

Top 5 Summer Nail Polishes!

Hey Beauties,

I'm baaaaaack! At last. I apologise for my recent absence. You may be aware that I was sitting exams which is the reason I haven't been blogging during the past few weeks. Luckily, the exams are over pretty much (I still have one left..) and I am back on the blogging scene. How wonderful is it that it's Summer? I am super excited for the next few months and have lots of blog post ideas.
I'll start with my top five polishes for Summer. These range from slightly more expensive to cheap as chips so I'm sure there'll be something for everyone as the shades are all different from one another too. Let's hop right in...

'Do you lilac it?' From OPI- €11

This is a cult product in the nail world! I absolutely love this shade. A perfect deep lilac shade that will suit all skin tones. I have a full review here if you are interested in my full thoughts and swatches!
8.5/10

'Vestral White' From MAC- €12.50

This is a recent purchase of mine from the MAC 'Hey Sailor!' Collection. I don't think this is still available but there are many dupes for this product such as 'Alpine Snow' by OPI. I love white polishes as they really accentuate and compliment a tan!
8/10

'Red Lights Ahead Where?'- OPI Holland Collection- £11

This red-orange is so bright and perfect for the Summer! I love it. This is a mini pictured, as it came in a 4 piece set. It is available here if you'd like to give it a go!
7.5/10

'Hyp-Turq' -Miss Sporty- £1.99

The name of the polish doesn't actually say on the bottle but this is the apparent name according to Boots, where this polish is available. I love the miss sporty nail polishes. They are incredibly inexpensive but provide lovely opaque colour. This shade is particularly Summery as it really reminds me of the ocean.
7/10

'Indian Ocean'- Models Own- £5

This polish is so unique and gorgeous. It is a shimmery iridescent fusion of pink and blue. It just glistens in the sunshine. Not too expensive either, as you get quite a bit of product in the large bottles. A definite must have for Summer as it can be easily layered over any polish to transform it!
7.5/10

So they're my favourite polishes for Summer- What are yours?

Thanks for reading dolls! Hope you enjoyed and happy Summer!
